Today was somewhat a hectic day...but it felt sooo good...
I went to the hospital earlier today to get a letter from the doctor...then decided to take the bus from the Sultanah Aminah hospital to the city centre...and just walked around...checking out my new work place (in a bout a month's time)...then boarded the bus back home (most probably my daily routine to-be)...
it was cool...i really am looking forward to starting work...hopefully i'd enjoy it...
chinese new year was awesome...hehehehe...i wont elaborate much on that point =)
so not long after i reached home from the city...i was preparing to receive a bunch of my primary school mates who decided to come to my place 'bai nian' (paying me a visit to celeb cny)...i havent seen some of them in years...it was fun...just talking about the past and the present...goss about other classmates...teachers...catching up...
then i deviated a bit from my original plan and followed them to visit two of my primary school teachers...again...it was just a wonderful time spent...more friends tagged along...and we just sat and talked and talked...
pictures will be posted once ive got them from my friend...
anyway...tomorrow im going to be staying in ward in the kulai hospital...and my procedure will be on the 13th...wednesday...i dont know yet when i will come back home...hopefully not too long staying in the hospital...hehehehe...
if anyone is free...do gimme a call or better, if anyone is in jb...drop by my place...i will be in crutches tho... =)
ciao!

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium!
so it's been a bit more than 2 weeks since ive returned home...and ive watched the simpsons movie again...twice...hehehe...
at first glance...it might seem that i havent been doing anything....but i dunno...life feels busy...hahaha...maybe im imagining it all to feel good about slacking...but eitherway...i have been running quite a bit of miscellaneous errands...going to pasar on weekends...u know, with chinese new year coming..it gets kinda busy there...
what's the price like u ask??
ikan bawal cepak/tambak (tao tui/dou chang) ranges from 45 ringgit seekor (NOT per kg) for those near half a kg in weight...to about 130 ringgit seekor for those huge ones...ang ka tua he (udang kaki merah)...the super huge ones are 80 ringgit per kg...ikan bawal putih (bai chang) is about 75 ringgit per kg for the huge ones (about 4-5 of em per kg)...
yes yes...they are expensive...u can argue that they used to be so and so..but like what my brother argues back, "dulu polis pun pakai seluar pendek"...
BUT...these are all local stuff from pontian waters...people who eat fish knows these are the best places to get them...sure...u can get cheap ones imported but are they as nice? for chinese new year...for steaming purposes...for the big dinner or any meals...surely, only the best should be served =) it's worth every penny i tell ya...
i have been following my bro to gelang patah to go pick up prawns to be sold at our place...one day we had to wait for a long time for the dealer to arrive..so we decided to go on a lil journey to the end of the kampung (very deep into the kampung)...all the way to where the sea is...since it is a bit too far...ive decided to turn on gps to see if there's a short cut...and THERE IS! so we followed it...and got to our destination much faster than usual...
so ive decided..if i own a gps company...i will use the tagline "Travel Like A Local" ...(hehehe...copyrighted ok)...coz really, only locals would know that short cut...
anyway...i start work at public bank johor bahru head office on the 17th of march...it was supposed to be 18th of feb...but i have to undergo surgery on the 13th of feb to remove the metal plate in my left ankle (which got inserted 3 years ago when i broke my leg)...and i would need 1 month to get off the crutches...meaning...1 month will be spent walking with crutches...crap...
that is all from me then...u all out there take care!

the promised land
tuesday...18th december was a day full of good news...it seemed surreal, such that it got me asking "what's the catch?"...there isn't many of such days in one's lifetime
i checked my estudent that day...and i saw there...written...confirmed...that i am all good to graduate....yeay!!!!! no...not really...it wasn't really a 'yeay!' but more of 'alhamdulillah'...and a deep deep sigh of relief...i mean, results was ok...but seeing that confirmation had effectively put all doubts to rest...
then i saw my scheduled graduation ceremony...17th april 2008.....what?! SEVENTEENTH APRIL TWO THOUSAND AND EIGHT??!!!!! (i spelt the numbers...meaning it's a HUGE shock..hehe)....that's my birthday!!!!!!!!!! now this time it is a big 'HAHAHAHA!'...wow...what a bonus!
i am really looking forward to that now...i will definitely come back to sydney for it...now the finishing line is in sight...i just cant wait to cross it...phewwww...really, if anyone understands what i've been through, they'd know how big a 'phew' that is....
i remembered a conversation i had with azan waayyyy some time ago...when i was dealing with my problems in uni and looking at people graduating...he reassured me that i will reach the promised land...i will cross the finish line in this race we call uni...it might seem like a simple point to make but being where i was back then, i really needed some serious boost in my self-belief...and those reassuring words couldn't have come at a better time for me...(thanks dude!)
Allah is almighty, he is Ar-rahman and Ar-rahim...all praise to Him for all this...i would never have made it this far (or anywhere near it) without His love...my parents, family and her ... they had been my source of strength...when times are tough and i felt that it is all too much...when the next day was a big exam and i felt i needed an extra boost...somehow...i feel their prayers and somehow that provided much needed source of confidence....
and all my friends who were with me all this while or at any stage of my journey, no matter where you are...whom i find support and happiness in...who believed...who made life here so meaningful....thank you all very very very much...
and...
later during the day i received a phone call from a company in malaysia whom i have been in contact with...and they confirmed an offer for me as finance analyst there..i am very thankful that i have this already...and while this sparked a whole deeper (and sometimes confusing and frustrating) self debate about my future, can i complain? no.
and so i hope everything goes well...the graduation...my career...and my transition to the next stage of my life...i also wish all my mates who are at the same stage here all the best and a safe journey into the new unknown...
p/s- i have watched 'Gone with The Wind' twice in the past 5 days!!!!! (anyone wanna make it thrice?) maaan....the movie is AWESOME....haha! how did i start this madness? RANDOM! yes tasha, randomness is COOL!
